Marsh
The quiet one. West over the saltings, and in October you will hear the geese come in before you see them.
The smallest room and the cheapest, and the one three-quarters of our regulars ask for by name. It faces away from the harbour, over the marsh, and the only thing that reliably wakes you is birds.
Small, and we mean it
Nineteen square metres including the shower room. The bed is a small double — 120cm — which is fine for two people who like each other and tight for two who do not.
What is in it
Small double, a window seat wide enough to sit in properly, a shower room, and a pair of binoculars that live on the sill and stay in the room.
Reservations
We answer the telephone between eight and eight.
One of the four rooms is held back for people who ring rather than book online. If the calendar says we are full, it is still worth asking.
